and their story…..
Adam Kelly performed for many years with “The Kelly Family” but also made music with his own bands. The love that Adam has for music comes in part from a long tradition that stretches back many generations. All the way back to Ireland, Australia and then America, his father’s fathers past on a passion for life and particularly for music. This passionate tradition was past on to Adam and now, with Jessi Kelly and their beautiful children, they have formed the band called “THE REBEL KELLYS”.
Both, Jessi and Adam, were well known for having a tendency to go against the grain, always searching for ways to do things differently. This rebellious nature drove them to go beyond the accepted norms and be willing to make the necessary sacrifices to achieve their objectives. They wanted to be free and they were convinced that it was possible. Jessi Kelly met up with Adam in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A. in the year 2000 and they decided there and then, if they were going to raise hell, then it would surely be a lot more fun doing it together!
Adam is a singer and plays the guitar. Jessi plays the fiddle and is a singer as well. The character of their music has an Irish, American, European and Australian feel, representing their individual backgrounds. Irish Folk, American Folk, Country, Bluegrass and self-written songs are what make up their repertoire, as well as fast traditional dance tunes.

The rebellious, authentic and positive attitude that “THE REBEL KELLYS” inject in to their music comes directly from the way they live their lives. When they perform it all comes together, creating an experience that is unique!

For the fall of 2009 (end of october through middle of december), Adam & Jessi will perform in a separate band called "The Kellys" together with Jimmy Kelly & Meike Kelly. Dates for the "Back To The Roots" tour will be posted!

Könnte mir das einer mal bitte wieder übersetzen? Vielen Dank schon mal!

Bin aber ziemlich froh, das Jessi und Adam auch ihr eigenes Ding machen. Wird es doch evtl. etwas sein wie früher

Ich versteh allerings immer noch nicht so ganz, was nun Sache ist. Heisst das nun "One Journey" gibt es nicht mehr , und sie haben den Bandnamen gewechselt (Warum auch immer?? ), oder ist das nur ein neues "Nebenprojekt"??? Bin ein bisserl verwirrt und auch verwundert.

Ich denke, das es vielleicht ein neuer Name ist. Bin ja auch gespannt, ob sie auch eine CD raus bringen, so wie sie es vor hatten eine neue zu machen. Denke wir müssen uns überraschen lassen. Auch ob Jessi und Adam einige Auftritte vorher haben. Aber dann hätten wir bestimmt schon ein paar Daten

Gestern kam ein Newsletter. Adam und Jessi haben 2 CD`s heraus gebracht. Besser gesagt der Termin ist am 24.8.09. Endlich gibt es etwas neues!
